Marching Raider Band
Regarding the establishment and maintenance of band culture, the Marching Raider Band (M.R.B) is the premier ensemble of the James S. Rickards Band program. Marching Band participation is required for all students wishing to participate in other ensembles. This ensemble serves to establish musicality, discipline, esprit de corps, and instill the band’s motto of P.R.I.D.E.
The Marching Raider Band rehearses Tuesday and Thursday 4 - 8 PM. This ensemble performs at Varsity football games, basketball games, pep-rallies, parades, and Marching Music Performance Assessment (MPA).
The Marching Raider Band is a seasonal ensemble. Normal 3-5 PM rehearsals cease with the conclusion of the Marching Music Performance Assessment and Florida A&M University homecoming festivities. Due to high-demand, Marching Raider Band members should be prepared for spontaneous performances.
